The SHS Birding Community focuses on birdwatching and how it relates to conservation. Birdwatching is a very special hobby: It is a sport because it demands a lot of physical action, an art because you get to appreciate the beauty of our feathered friends and photograph them, and a science. Since birds demand much of the same food and habitat as humans do, studying a population may give us clues about the environmental impacts that we humans are causing. Apart from birdwatching, we will also practice other nature-related activities, which may include but are not limited to: Feeders, nest boxes, bat boxes, vegetation tags, reestablishing ecosystems (ZX LAKE!!!), charity events, etc. Meeting Time: Tuesday Lunch, ZX206 Current Achievements/Projects: SHS Wiki"Bird"ia, SHS Birding Guide Note: Except for introductory sessions and community projects, we won't meet too often in school (so if you're busy, you're still very welcome to join). Also, if you have any suggestions, cool ideas, complaints, etc., don't be afraid to express your opinions. We welcome all comments.
